To reach 141 Elton Street from Rte. 195, get off at the 3rd Exit (Gano Street) and turn right at the end of the ramp. That will be Gano. Go up Gano, through four sets of traffic lights (do not count a yellow flashing light as one of these four). The fourth light will be the corner of Angell Street. Do not turn yet, but count three more streets beyond Angell. The third will be Elton. Turn right on Elton, and go through three more intersections. At the third, there will be a small park on the right. Keep going. 141 is about three-quarters of the way down the block, on the right. It is white, with a red door and a big holly tree on either side of the door. For people within Providence, either head south down Blackstone Boulevard or north up Butler Avenue (where Eastside Marketplace and Bread & Circus are found). If you are heading north up Butler, with Bread & Circus behind you, turn left just as you see Butler Ave. widen into Blackstone Boulevard -- that is the point where you see the Boulevard's first center island. That left will take you onto Elton, and it is the fourth private house on the left. If you are heading south down the Boulevard, turn right just at the end of the last center island. Again, the house is the fourth private one on the left.
