Amnesty International Group #612

Located in the San Francisco East Bay Area, with members from Albany to Fremont to Livermore, Amnesty International Group #612 is an active group of dedicated members from all walks of life working to promote Amnesty's goals around the world. We meet on the last Saturday of each month at Zocalo Coffeehouse (see the bottom of this page). Amnesty International's vision is of a world in which every person enjoys all of the human rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.
In pursuit of this vision, AI's mission is to undertake research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of the rights to physical and mental integrity, freedom of conscience and expression, and freedom from discrimination, within the context of its work to promote all human rights.
AI is independent of any government, political ideology, economic interest or religion. It does not support or oppose any government or political system, nor does it support or oppose the views of the victims whose rights it seeks to protect. It is concerned solely with the impartial protection of human rights.

Please join us at one of our monthly meetings. Our next meeting is April 26 at Zocalo Coffeehouse, 645 Bancroft Ave., San Leandro, CA 94577, phone 510.569.0102. Meetings start at 2:00pm and usually last until about 4:00pm. We usually meet on the last Saturday of each month at Zocalo. All are welcome to attend our meetings, whether or not they choose to become members of Amnesty International. We are a bi-lingual group, with several members that speak both Spanish and English.
