Present: Mayra Gomez, Bret Theile, Warren Howe, Hal Bertilson, Ryan Jordan, Bob Peterson, and Miles Johnson.  

Special Focus Case Update and Action.  No report.   

Gay Marriage Amendment in Wisconsin .  Michael Hefflin is interested.  He most likely would visit in September if he is able to come.  There is no agenda yet.  Mayra will get more information.   

Update on Death Penalty Referendum in Wisconsin.  Wisconsin is not listed in the state-specific ideas for Next Steps.  See http://www.amnestyusa.org/abolish/event2/nextsteps.html

Mayra will find out how we can list what we are doing.   

National Weekend of Faith in Action on Death Penalty October 20-22.  Larry Cox may be in Minnesota at this time.  Bret will invite Larry to participate in an event in Wisconsin.  Mayra will email the Streufeurts, from Victim's Families for Reconciliation, to invite them to participate again in an event.  

Summer Post Card Action.   We sent eight post cards each to prisoners of conscience and human rights defenders at http://www.amnestyusa.org/action/summer/index.html to express our solidarity.
